What is New World Lager?
New World Lager is the lager in Drop Bear’s core four. Drop Bear calls it “a 0.5% ABV non alcoholic lager” brewed with New Zealand hops, which is where the name comes from; Wise Bartender lists it as New World IPL, an India pale lager.
Drop Bear describes “notes of candied citrus, biscuit, and honey”, and Dry Drinker calls it crisp and golden, with a floral hop aroma, a light malt body and a refreshing finish.
The label gives 14 kcal and 0.1g of sugar per 100ml, or 46 kcal a can. Like the rest of the range it’s brewed with barley and wheat but labelled gluten-free, with each batch tested under 20ppm.
Dry Drinker had it in stock when we checked, and Drop Bear sells it direct; Wise Bartender lists it but was sold out. Drop Bear’s fruit-cut lagers, such as Guava Cut and Peach Cut, are built on a lager base too.

About Drop Bear
Drop Bear was founded in Swansea in 2019 by Joelle and Sarah Drummond, who started brewing alcohol-free beer in their kitchen. It brews in its own brewery in Llansamlet, Swansea, the former Tomos Watkin site, which it took over in 2023, officially opened in January 2024 and calls the UK’s largest alcohol-free brewery. Every beer is 0.5%, vegan and labelled gluten-free (under 20ppm), and Drop Bear has been a certified B Corp since 2021.
