What is Lust For Life?

Lust For Life is the beer Brulo is best known for. It’s double dry-hopped with Simcoe, Citra and Mosaic on a base of Pilsner and Pale Ale malts with flaked wheat, and Brulo describes “a ripe, juicy character of mango, peach and pine” with “the perfect balance of flavour, bitterness and drinkability”.

Brulo says its beer is “brewed alcohol free from the first day of the brew, not stripped back at the end”, rather than brewed strong and de-alcoholised. The can says it’s brewed at De Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi, Belgium.

In 2026 it won two gold stars at the Great Taste Awards. The label gives 23 kcal and 2.8g of sugar per 100ml, or 76 kcal a can. Brulo’s website says 56 kcal a can; we use the label figure.

It’s easy to buy: Morrisons sells four-packs, Brulo names East of England Co-op and Lincolnshire Co-op as stockists, and Dry Drinker, Wise Bartender and Brulo’s own shop all had it in stock. See our ranking of the best alcohol-free IPAs for how it compares.
