The story behind Kaiserdom Lemon Wheat
From the largest of Bamberg’s twelve breweries — brewing since 1718, family-owned since 1910, with its own de-alcoholisation plant installed in 2019 — comes the German summer classic: wheat beer cut with lemon, the Weissbier-Radler hybrid Germans drink by the litre in beer gardens.
The wheat base brings soft banana-and-clove body; the lemon brings the sunshine. Together they make one of the most refreshing 0.0-adjacent drinks on the shelf, and a great gateway for people who claim not to like beer.
