The story behind Kaiserdom’s Lager
Kaiserdom has brewed since 1718 and is the largest of the twelve breweries of Bamberg — the UNESCO-listed Franconian city that wrote its own beer purity law in 1489, twenty-seven years before Bavaria’s. The Wörner family, owners since 1910, made a very concrete AF commitment in 2019: an in-house de-alcoholisation plant alongside a new brewhouse.
This lager is the flagship of that investment — fully brewed Bamberg beer with the alcohol removed on site, keeping the clean, rounded character three centuries of practice produces.
