The story behind Estrella Levante 0.0
Estrella de Levante has brewed in Espinardo, on the edge of Murcia, since 1963 — its founding recipe written by German master brewer Karl Martin Weber, its barley still largely grown in Murcia and Albacete, its maltings its own. This is Murcia’s beer the way Tetley’s was once Leeds’s.
Its alcohol-free credentials predate the trend by decades: the brewery launched its first Sin Alcohol in 1996, part of the deep Spanish AF culture that makes Spain the reference market. The 0.0 is textbook Spanish: smooth malt, light hops, dry finish, 25 kcal.
