Alcohol-free hampers that have a proper drink in them
Most alcohol-free hampers are food hampers with the wine taken out. These are the ones built around good alcohol-free beer, wine and cocktails, plus four to assemble yourself.

5 Ales & Nuts gift box, £25A Night at the Pub, £24.60Red wine, chocolate & nuts, £36
Want willow and ribbon? The traditional hamper houses start at £34. Only one of the six we cover is built around alcohol-free beer; the others pair the food with elderflower pressé, a sparkling fruit drink or sparkling tea, which suits someone who isn’t a beer drinker.
Some links on this page are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. The traditional hampers further down are not affiliate links. How we make money.
Search for an alcohol-free hamper and you’ll find plenty. Look closer and most of them are food hampers with the wine taken out. There’s nothing wrong with shortbread and a bottle of pressé, but it isn’t a present for someone who likes a drink and has chosen one without alcohol in it.
So this guide sorts hampers by what’s in the glass. First, the hampers and gift boxes built around real alcohol-free beer, cider, wine and cocktails. Then four hampers you can assemble yourself from the retailers and makers we already rate, with the cost added up. And last, the best of the traditional hamper houses, for when the basket matters as much as the bottle. Prices and contents were checked on 7 October 2026.
Gold is our pick. Green bars contain alcohol-free beer or cider; pale bars are wine, cocktail or soft-drink hampers. Prices before delivery and before any discount code.
Alcohol-free hampers with a proper drink in them
All eight come from Wise Bartender, a specialist alcohol-free retailer, and all were in stock when we checked. Most arrive in a gift box, and if anything sells out, Wise Bartender swaps in something of equal or greater value.
Our pick: best alcohol-free beer hamper
Alcohol-Free Beer & Snack Gift Pack (12 beers)
£42.50Wise Bartender12 beers plus snacksIn stock
If they love beer, this is the hamper: a dozen alcohol-free beers across lagers, pale ales, IPAs and stouts, from UK and international breweries, with a small selection of snacks. Every beer is between 0.0% and 0.5% ABV.
Twelve beers is the right size for a present. It is enough to last, varied enough that something will be a new favourite, and at £42.50 it costs about the same as a decent bottle of whisky.
What’s inside
12 alcohol-free beers, 0.0 to 0.5% ABV
Lagers, pale ales, IPAs, stouts
Rotating mix of breweries
Snacks, typically nuts and chocolate
The beers change with the seasons, so every pack is a little different: perfect for someone who likes discovering new ones. It comes as a gift pack rather than a presentation box, so if the unwrapping matters, the boxed sets below look the part.
The pick if you want to know exactly what you’re giving. Five named craft ales, a bag of nuts and a gift box for £25. Two of the five are among the best pale ales in our reviews: Big Drop Pine Trail Pale Ale and Athletic Brewing Upside Dawn both score 8.5.
One of everything you’d order at the bar: a lager, a stout, a cider, a glass of fizz, a cocktail and a cola, with a bag of nuts. It is the hamper for someone whose drink changes with their mood, and the names are ones they’ll recognise. Guinness 0.0 scores 8.1 in our reviews.
5 Alcohol Free Ciders & Pigs in Blankets Nuts Gift Box
£19.50Wise Bartender5 ciders plus nutsGift box
The cheapest boxed hamper here, and the only one built around cider. Five alcohol-free ciders, each up to 0.5% ABV, with a 90g bag of Pigs in Blankets Mixed Nuts.
The ciders inside are a surprise and change with stock, so it suits a cider drinker who likes trying new ones.
Alcohol Free Red Wine, Chocolate & Nuts in Gift Box
£36.00Wise Bartender2 wines, chocolate, nutsWine gift box
Two alcohol-free red wines, a big bar of dark chocolate and a bag of nuts, in a wine gift box. This is the one that looks most like a traditional hamper when it’s opened, and Wise Bartender will add a personalised gift message for free.
Alcohol Free Sparkling Wine 3 Bottle Pack with Tony’s Chocolate
£49.00Wise Bartender3 bottles plus chocolate3-bottle gift box
Three bottles of alcohol-free fizz and a bar of Tony’s in a three-bottle gift box. For an engagement, a new job or a host who has said they’re not drinking this year.
The best hamper is the one packed for a particular person. Buying the parts separately also gets you better beer and better snacks than most ready-made hampers manage, from makers we’ve already written about: Cool Hog’s pork scratchings, Hip Pop’s kombucha and NOMO’s free-from chocolate.
Here are four we’d be pleased to receive, with every price checked on 7 October 2026. You supply the basket, the tissue paper and the bow.
The pub night in
Twelve lagers and ten tubs of proper Black Country scratchings. Add a deck of cards.
Want to choose the beers one by one? Our Crate Builder fills a twelve-beer crate from a ready-made theme or your own picks, and the assortment box guide compares eleven ready-made mixed cases if you’d like someone else to do it.
The best traditional alcohol-free hampers
Sometimes the basket is the present. These six come from established hamper companies and arrive looking the part. They’re listed by price, with the drink spelled out, because that’s where they differ most from the hampers above. We don’t earn anything from these links.

Belvoir Elderflower Pressé, 75cl, plus ground coffee
Black Bomber cheddar, chilli jam, crackers, Dundee cake, chocolate, popcorn
Lidded wicker hamper
£115.00
For a beer drinker, the Hampers.com Beer & Snacks Hamper is the one to pick. It’s built around three beers from Bero, whose Kingston Golden Pils and Edge Hill Hazy IPA we’ve reviewed, with crisps, mochi rice bites and nuts in a gift box: a present as much about the box and the snacks as the beer.
Before you order: Hampers.com (FESTIVE15) and Virginia Hayward (STARDUST20) were both advertising discount codes when we checked, so you may pay less than the prices above. Virginia Hayward’s site also shows prices without VAT, so make sure you’re reading the right one. The Luxury hamper has cheese in it and needs a fridge on arrival, and Fortnum’s box delivers from 15 October.
How to choose an alcohol-free hamper
Start with the drink, not the basket
Ask what the person would order in a pub. A lager drinker wants lager, and our alcohol-free lager guide will tell you which. A red wine drinker will get more from two bottles of alcohol-free Shiraz than from any amount of shortbread. If you don’t know, a mixed pack such as A Night at the Pub hedges the bet.
Check whether “alcohol-free” means 0.0%
Most alcohol-free craft beer is brewed to 0.5% ABV, and several hampers here mix 0.0% and 0.5% drinks. That is fine for most people and matters a great deal to some. We’ve marked the ABV where the seller states it; our guide to whether alcohol-free beer is really alcohol-free explains the labels.
Decide how much the packaging matters
A wicker hamper is lovely to receive and costs money that could have gone on better contents. Gift boxes cost less and still open well. A hamper you’ve packed yourself costs least and says most. There’s no wrong answer, but it’s worth choosing on purpose.

Questions people ask
What is in an alcohol-free hamper?
It varies more than the name suggests. Specialist retailers such as Wise Bartender build hampers around alcohol-free beer, cider, wine or cocktails with snacks. Traditional hamper companies usually take a food hamper and swap the wine for an elderflower pressé, a sparkling fruit drink or sparkling tea. Check the contents list before you buy.
What is the best alcohol-free beer hamper?
Unhopped’s pick is Wise Bartender’s Alcohol-Free Beer & Snack Gift Pack: twelve alcohol-free beers with snacks for £42.50. For a smaller budget, its 5 Alcohol Free Ales & Nuts gift box costs £25 and names every beer, including Big Drop Pine Trail and Athletic Upside Dawn, which both score 8.5 in our reviews.
How much does an alcohol-free hamper cost?
From £19.50 for a boxed set of five ciders and nuts to £115 for a wicker hamper with cheese, cake and coffee. Most of the beer and wine hampers we recommend cost between £24 and £50. Building your own from separate retailers costs from about £35.
Can I send an alcohol-free hamper straight to someone?
Yes. All the retailers here deliver to a UK address of your choice. Wise Bartender offers a free personalised gift message on its red wine gift box, and the traditional hamper companies offer named-day delivery. If you build your own hamper from several shops, have the parts sent to you first so you can pack them together.
Is there an alcohol-free Christmas hamper?
Yes. Wise Bartender’s Christmas Night In gift pack (£24) holds sparkling wine, espresso martinis and whiskey cream, all 0.0%. Virginia Hayward’s Alcohol Free Treats Basket (£55.50) and Alcohol Free Feast (£84.38) are traditional Christmas hampers with mince pies, pudding and a sparkling soft drink.
Are alcohol-free hampers completely free of alcohol?
Not always. Many alcohol-free beers and some cocktails are up to 0.5% ABV, and hampers often mix those with 0.0% drinks. If the recipient avoids alcohol entirely, choose a hamper where every drink is listed as 0.0%, such as Christmas Night In, or a soft-drink hamper.
What should I put in a homemade alcohol-free hamper?
A mixed case of alcohol-free beer or a few bottles of alcohol-free wine, something salty, something sweet and one thing that lasts beyond the week. One combination we like: a twelve-beer mixed case, a tasting set of pork scratchings and a CAMRA gift membership.
The verdict
For a beer drinker, buy the Beer & Snack Gift Pack and stop there. If you’d like to know every beer in the box, the 5 Ales & Nuts gift box is the best £25 on this page.
If you have an hour and want the present remembered, build your own. And if it has to be wicker, tuck a few cans of something good in beside the pressé.
How we chose. Every hamper here had its price and contents checked on 7 October 2026. We pick on what’s in the glass, using Unhopped’s own beer reviews, rather than unpacking every hamper. Prices and contents can change, so the buttons always take you to today’s price. Spotted something out of date? Tell us.
