The story behind Playground

In March 2017, Utrecht brothers Sander and Ronald van de Streek released the first alcohol-free IPA from a Dutch craft brewery — and did it the clever way: not by stripping alcohol out, but with a special yeast that barely creates any, plus body-building malts and generous American hops. Nothing removed, only added.

Playground went on to become one of the most decorated alcohol-free IPAs anywhere — Barcelona Beer Challenge silver among its haul — and it turned a crowdfunded brothers’ project into one of Europe’s AF craft benchmarks.
