The story behind Zero Zero
Menabrea is Italy’s oldest continuously operating brewery — founded in 1846 in Biella, in the Alpine foothills of Piedmont, before Italy was even a unified country. Giuseppe Menabrea chose the town for its underground caves, ideal for lagering, and its pure Alpine water; five generations later the founding families still brew on the same site.
Zero Zero brings that heritage to 0.0%: a golden, bottom-fermented alcohol-free lager, finely balanced and gently floral with a compact, proper head. It’s the connoisseur’s pick of the Italian zeros — see how it compares to Peroni and Moretti in our Italian alcohol-free guide, or visit the Menabrea hub.
The full-strength Menabrea beers are built from Hallertau noble hops and barley from the Champagne region, matured slowly in the brewery’s cold underground cellars — and Zero Zero inherits that house polish. Serve it well chilled with antipasti or pizza bianca; at 25 kcal it’s an aperitivo you can repeat.
