A nitrogen-canned special batch of Stoker’s Stout, released to celebrate its Scottish Beer Awards win. It was brewed to the Stoker’s recipe of the time (Jump Ship has since changed the Stoker’s recipe); Jump Ship recommends a hard pour for the full nitro effect, with coffee, dark chocolate and a hint of vanilla over a smooth, full body.

Frequently asked questions

How many calories are in Jump Ship Stoker’s Extra Smooth Nitro Stout?
Jump Ship lists 78 kcal per 440ml can, with 0g of sugar per can. Jump Ship has changed the Stoker’s Stout recipe since this batch, so the current 330ml Stoker’s (84 kcal per can) has different nutrition figures. Compare it with other beers in our calorie comparison tool.
Is Jump Ship Stoker’s Extra Smooth Nitro Stout alcohol-free?
Stoker’s Extra Smooth is under 0.5% ABV. Jump Ship doesn’t remove alcohol after brewing: it manages the mash and uses specially selected yeasts so that very little alcohol forms in the first place. UK government guidance reserves the term ‘alcohol-free’ for 0.05% ABV or below, but that guidance is voluntary, and several other European countries allow beer up to 0.5% ABV to be called alcohol-free. More in our 0.0% vs 0.5% guide.
Is Jump Ship Stoker’s Extra Smooth Nitro Stout vegan and gluten-free?
Yes. Jump Ship says all of its beers are vegan and gluten-free. They are brewed with barley and oats (both listed as allergens), and an enzyme breaks down the gluten; every batch is tested by a third party, and Jump Ship aims for below 10ppm, half the 20ppm gluten-free limit. See our gluten-free alcohol-free beer guide.
Where is Jump Ship Stoker’s Extra Smooth Nitro Stout brewed?
At Jump Ship’s own brewery at Rosemains Steading in Pathhead, Midlothian, about 11 miles south-east of Edinburgh. Jump Ship brews every beer there and packages it into cans and kegs on site.
Has Jump Ship Stoker’s Extra Smooth Nitro Stout won any awards?
Not in its own right. It’s a special batch Jump Ship released to celebrate Stoker’s Stout winning Best No Alcohol Beer at the Scottish Beer Awards 2024.
Can I still buy Jump Ship Stoker’s Extra Smooth Nitro Stout?
It was a limited special batch. Check Jump Ship’s own shop for availability; the original Stoker’s Stout is part of the core range.
