The story behind Sleight of Hand

Tempest began with a chef and a garage: founder Gavin homebrewed with Kiwi hops in Christchurch, New Zealand, before he and Annika brought the obsession to Scotland — a disused Kelso dairy in 2010, then a purpose-built Tweedbank brewery in 2015, and Scottish Brewery of the Year by 2016.

Sleight of Hand is the flavour-first house style at 0.5%: unmistakably Tempest hop character with the alcohol conjured away — the name telling you exactly how good the trick is.

Serve cold with big food; chef-founded breweries make beers that love the table. Its siblings Face Hopper and the margarita-riffing Lagerita complete the set — all on our Tempest hub.
