Õllenaut: Estonian craft, smoked and crisp
Õllenaut is an Estonian craft brewery — part of the Baltic scene that’s quietly become one of Europe’s more interesting AF sources (Estonia also gives the directory A. Le Coq). Its two beers here could hardly be more different, which is rather the point.
Õllenaut on Unhopped
We list Hele Lager — crisp malt, floral hops, refreshingly dry, 25 kcal — and the one to seek out: Smoked Porter, dark chocolate and coffee wrapped in genuine beechwood smoke from smoked malts. Smoked AF beer is vanishingly rare; this is one of the very few in the UK market, and it’s a conversation-starter in any tasting line-up.
